Woodbury People of Faith is sponsoring the third annual
Pulpit exchange during the month of January. The first was held on Sunday, 1/13, between the United Methodist Church, Pastor Kristina Hansen and North Congregational Church, Rev. Dr. Craig McClellan.. The schedule for the upcoming exchanges is as follows:
Saturday 1/26
· Rev. Mark Heilshorn of First Congregational Church to St. Teresa’s Roman Catholic Church – 4:30 p.m. Mass.
Sunday 1/27
· Rev. Mark Heilshorn of First Congregational Church to St. Teresa’s Roman Catholic Church – 9 a.m. Mass.
· Rev. Robert Kwiatkowski of St. Teresa’s Roman Catholic Church to First Congregational Church – 10 a.m. Service.
Woodbury People of Faith is an interfaith effort to provide opportunities for better understanding, a common witness to our community and to host interfaith events for the people of the greater Woodbury area. Member churches include St. Teresa’s Roman Catholic, St. Paul’s Episcopal, North Congregational, First Congregational, Mattatuck Universalist Unitarian Society, B’Nai Israel Synagogue, Woodbury United Methodist and Christ the Savior Orthodox Church.
The pulpit exchanges are the first of several innovative programs set for the coming months of 2008. Upcoming events include Hartford Seminary speakers, dates to be announced, interfaith speakers and events, dates to be announced.
